The “Kalki Purana” happens to be a prophetic book in the Hindu tradition. A few days ago, I happened upon some prophecy related websites that claimed there are certain similarities between the prophecies of the “Kalki Purana” and the Bible, specifically the Book of Revelation. I haven’t read the entire text of the “Kalki Purana” to double check and cross verify the claims, but here is a brief summary of what I have learned so far. Please note that I am not endorsing the “Kalki Purana” but I felt it would be worthwhile to examine the parallels between it and the Bible. I gently advice the reader to do their own research on this matter.

1. Biblical Christ / Kalki?
Hinduism has its version of an end times hero called “Kalki”. Like the saviour on a white horse described in the Book of Revelations (who Christians say is Jesus), Kalki is also described as riding a white horse.

I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war. – Revelation 19:11

Interestingly Kalki is often depicted as riding a white horse.

Additionally, both the bible and the hindu records state that the Christ/Kalki will return at a time when the world has entered a state of great mortal degeneracy.

2. Biblical Gog and Magog / “Kok and Bikok”?
Lord Kalki, along with his soldiers armed with various types of weapons engaged in war with Kok and Bikok . These two brothers are supreme demons, great fanatics and adept in the art of war. These brothers are intimately connected, powerful, hard to defeat and are even feared by the Gods. (Kalki Purana, III, Verses 43 & 44)

“Kok and Vikok” are most certainly cognates of “Gog and Magog”, described as a mighty army in the Bible.

3. Biblical Anti-Christ/beast / “Koli”?

The Bible speaks of an evil one, the anti-christ who gathers his allies to wage war agaisnt the rider on the horse

Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse  and his army. – Revelation 19:19

Hindu prophecies also contain an anti-christ type character called “Koli” who gathers his allies to make war against Kalki.

Hearing that Kalki has come for battle, the angry Koli, along with his allies, sons and grandsons came riding on a chariot out of the city of Bishasan. On seeing Koli, Kalki ordered his followers to engage in battle with him. (Kalki Purana, III, Verses 32, 33, 35, 36)

4. Biblical Babylon / “Bishasan”?
The book of Revelation highlights a certain city called “Babylon” that is understood to be the “capital city” of the anti-Christ. That city (symbolized as a prostitute) is said to be destroyed by fire as we read in Revelation 18

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. – Revelation 18:8

…And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! – Revelation 18:18

In Hindu prophecy, the anti-christ also has a capital city called “Bishasan”, which is also destroyed by fire:

Soon they entered the city of Bishasan, the capital of Koli, and burnt down the city using fiery missile. Alongwith the city, Koli too was burnt and his sons and relatives were destroyed. (Kalki Purana, III, Verses 9 & 10)

Very interesting, to say the least.

In Revelation 13, the “second beast” – also described as the “false prophet” – puts in place a system to subjugate people using a mysterious “mark” or number – It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.- Revelation 13:16-18

The number “666” is the most intriguing symbol in the book of Revelation. The importance of understanding the number and what it stands for is illustrated in verse 18 where the author of Revelation invites those with insight to try and “calculate” the mark of the beast. It is only with a correct understanding of the meaning of the number “666” that we can hope to accurately decipher the other verses pertaining to the anti-Christ. A failure to understand what the number “666” stands for would render our attempts to decipher Revelation futile. From the passage quoted in the beginning, the first thing one ought to gather about the “mark” or “666” is that its primary purpose has to do with economic control and subjugation – after all only those with the “mark” or “666” on their right hands and foreheads can buy or sell.

The popular interpretation of the “mark” on the forehead/right hand passage is that it is a reference to implantable chip technology. While it is undoubtedly an elegant theory that may very well be fulfilled in the near future, there is still a good chance that it stops short of fully explaining what the “mark” or “666” on the forehead/right hand really is. Old Testament Parallels We have good reason to believe the author of Revelation was simply using Old Testament motifs in describing the “mark” on the forehead/right hand. I say this because the imagery of the beasts mark on the forehead or the hand, as described in Revelation appears to be a twisted mirror image of verses in the Book of Deuteronomy, where God The Israelites are told regarding the Commandments of God –  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. – Deuteronomy 6:8 You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead – Deuteronomy 11:18

I believe that the author of Revelation was attempting to portray the anti-Christ as someone who would mimic the way in which God instructed the Israelites to bind the Law on their forehead and hands. In other words, accepting the anti-Christs “mark” on the right hand or forehead amounts to accepting his “law” and thus, him as leader. It is only under this condition that people would be allowed to carry out trade; in other words the anti-Christ is depicted in Revelation as someone who – among other things – wields the power to subjugate economically.

Interestingly, even the number ‘666’ , has its origins in the Old Testament, specifically from the passages speaking of King Solomon’s rule and authority. Now the weight of gold which came in to Solomon in one year was 666 talents of gold, – 1 Kings 10:14 Christians have written tons of material attempting to explain the number 666 but only very rarely have do they ever make mention of 666  as it appears in 1 Kings 10:14. We see that 666  – even in the Old Testament – has clear connotations of economic control and subjugation. Solomon, as King of Israel, was receiving tributes of 666 talents of gold from those who were subjugated by him.

In other words, they had accepted and submitted to the domination of King Solomon. This leads me to believe that “worshiping” the beast  is not going to be of religious nature, rather it is simply a metaphor for choosing to accept the anti-Christ as supreme leader and living by his law. While many insist that Revelation is speaking of people literally worshiping the anti-Christ as a god, the actual word used for worship, proskuneo can also mean an act of homage given to people in authority. Revelation states that 666 is “the number of a man”.

The number 666 may well be considered as Solomon’s ‘number’, after all Solomon was associated with  666 – the number of gold talents he was receiving from those who had submitted to his rule. Thus, the phrase “number of a man” could have been intended as a reference to a man named Solomon, whose authority was symbolised by 666. I believe its well worth speculating that the writer of revelation was trying to tell us the anti-Christ is going to be named ‘Solomon’. Or that the anti-Christ is going to be an evil version of King Solomon – a mighty ruler from Jerusalem.

God knows best.

“The Hour will not be established-till the people of the desert (the camel shepherds) compete with one another in constructing high buildings.”

1. Skeptics deem prophecies about increase in wars, disasters and immorality as being too ”vague” to be taken seriously, and therefore not enough to identify someone as a true prophet foretelling the future.

However, there are other prophecies that accurately describe events and life in our modern world. One such prophecy that stands out is the one made by Mohammad foretelling that the desert dwelling Arabs – once simple sheep and camel herders living in tents – would be competing in the construction of tall buildings. Today we have what we call ”skyscrapers”, located not just in developed Western cities in North America, but even in Arab lands, places that are once mostly dry and barren with people living in simple houses and tents.

2A. The morality of these lavish displays of wealth are besides the point and out of the scope of this thread. Observant Muslims understand that lavish displays of wealth and extravagance are against Islamic principles. Mohammad knew that 1400 years from his time, desert dwelling Arabs – who according to Islam were to shun extravagance – would be competing in the construction of tall buildings! In fact, it is only within the last 3 decades or so, that skyscrapers and highrise buildings filled the skylines of major Arab cities. The key word here is ”compete”, which in the given context suggests constructions for the sake of status and prestige, as opposed to addressing practical needs. To my surprise, I recently learned that there IS such a thing called a ”skyscraper competition”!

One would have to be either blind or willfully ignorant (and I will absolutely NOT waste my time in dealing with either type)…. to deny that Mohammads prophecy about competitions to build tall buildings has been fulfilled 100%. The people of the desert have competed to build tall buildings. Given the prophecy, it is absolutely no co-incidence that the worlds tallest skyscraper, the worlds tallest lighthouse and the worlds tallest clocktower are all in Arab lands.

2B. Whats really interesting is that Saudi Arabia has announced plans to gigantic 1 kilometer tall tower, that would be  The Kingdom Tower

Kingdom Tower (Arabic: برج المملكة‎‎ Burj al Mamlakah), previously known as Mile-High Tower, (Arabic: برج الميل‎‎), is a skyscraper currently under construction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia……. that will be located along the Red Sea on the north side of Jeddah. If completed as planned, the tower will reach unprecedented heights, becoming the tallest building in the world, as well as the first structure to reach the one-kilometre-high mark.

The recent announcement of the tower has provoked widespread and highly divided reaction throughout the media. Those who support the project see it as an investment that, although visionary, will have positive social and economic effects on the area as well as the country in the long term, while others see it as nothing more than the result of self-centered and attention seeking competition between oil-rich gulf nations that will serve no purpose other than as a white elephant, costing more and generating less than expected, if it even gets built.

3. The Arab skyscraper prophecy is important because its fulfillment (among certain other prophecies not covered in this thread)… signals the beginning of the end times. The implications of this is that the timing of the beginning of the end times is no longer a matter of speculation and conjecture. Rather, it has been confirmed that we have been living in the end times for quite some time now.

And God knows best!

The well known 2007 documentary “Zeitgeist” starts off in a rather anti-Christian tone….claiming that Jesus Christ, considered Messiah by nearly 4 billion humans, was recycled from other legends from around the world. Ironically, it ends in such a way that it mirrors certain Christian eschatological beliefs.

Whether you have realized it or not, “Zeitgeist”, an anti-Christian documentary, ACCURATELYpresented (towards the end) the Christian prediction of the mark of the beast – as being an implanted chip. Strangely, Christian eschatologists – more than a decade ago – predicted that the “mark of the beast” is going to be an RFID microchip implant. It so happens that the writers of “Zeitgeist”… claims that the exact same thing is in store for us.

Towards the end of “Zeitgeist”, we hear :
“and the final step is the implanted chip…. which many people have already been manipulated into accepting under different pretexes.”

The documentary then goes on to show a clip of an American family that got themselves chipped. They are described as “pioneers in a brave new world” and are praised as being the first ever to be implanted with microchips. Then somebody claiming he wouldn’t mind having “something permanently implanted” in his arm,

We then hear the documentarys narrator say this…

“In the end everybody would be locked into a monitored controlled grid, where every single action that you perform is documented, and if you get off the line they can just turn off your chip. for in that point of time every single single aspect of society would revolve around that chip. This is the picture that is painted for the future if you open your eyes to see it”

IRONICALLY…this echoes EXACTLY what Christian eschatologists said more than a decade ago – that an RFID chip implant controlling economic transactions, is around the corner. That is how many Christian eschatologists have interpreted this bit from Revelation :

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads. And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. – Revelation 13:15-17

My assessment is this :
“Zeitgeist” starts off in a very anti-Christian tone, in its claims that Jesus was a myth.

Then, it ironically ends with the very thing that Christian eschatologists more than a decade ago predicted would happen. (I remember reading about it in a Christian eschatological book way back in 2001.)

The name written on her forehead was a mystery: Babylon the great – the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth.
-Revelation 17:5

1. The mysterious name of the whore
Why is a reference being made to Babylon? And what is actually meant by her being the mother of ‘prostitutes and abominations’?
First off, it is indeed mysterious that the whores name contains a reference to a city that had collapsed centuries prior to the Book of Revelation being written. Christians would know that Babylon wasn’t just any ordinary city, but one that is repeatedly portrayed in the Bible as an enemy of the Israelites. We also know from the book of Revelation, that place names are applied symbolically to other entities and so therefore, it can safely be assumed that ‘Babylon’ also appears symbolically in the whore’s name. But if symbols aren’t randomly thrown about and if defunct Babylon also happens to be the whore’s symbolic name, is there a deeper meaning to the whore’s name?

2. What does the whore represent?
Many Christian theologians point to the idolatry and false religion of historical Babylon and arbitrarily insert religious meanings to the events and symbols of chapters 17 and 18. They go on to claim that the whore is some “false religion”, and declare some religion they oppose (usually its the Roman Catholic Church) as being the whore. However, we see that Chapters 17 and 18 contain both veiled and explicit references to corrupt economics and trade as opposed to “false religions” and “false gods”.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
– Revelation 18:3

I have already covered this subject in a previous thread here, but I’ll just post a brief explanation for now.
– The whores “fornication” represents a usury based economic system.
– The kings committing adultery with her are governments who are players in the whores economic system.
– The merchants are the businessmen and bankers, who grow rich from whores economic system.
– The nations are “drunk” because they have been deceived by the whores economic system.

If you believe that the whore is something else, good for you. Start a thread on it. I believe the usury based economics theory better explains all those cryptic verses about fornication and nations getting drunk and merchants getting rich. This is the crux of my argument.

3. The Babylonian origins of usury
While working on this post, I had to look into whether or not the name ‘Babylon’ was compatible with my theory that the whore’s symbolic fornication symbolized a usury based economic system. In other words, if I could establish a connection between a usury based economic system and the name ‘Babylon’, it would perfectly explain why the whore is named ‘Babylon’.

From a purely academic point of view, the geographical region that Babylon occupied happens to be the birthplace of the banking institution. And unsurprisingly, the Babylonians are credited with developing the earliest commercial banking systems – complete with loans, credit and interest!……

Simply put, usury is ancient Babylon’s lasting contribution to the world of economics.
Usury is a Babylonian abomination that has not only survived to this day, but thrives globally as a legitimate practice, that is accepted as business-as-usual. It will be through this practice on an international level that the whore fornicates with kings, while deceiving the nations and making her merchants rich. So when you think of “usury”, just think of Babylon, the land of its origin. It now makes sense as to why the whore is named Babylon and not anything else. Because if abominations and prostitutes are representative of usury and its practitioners, then Babylon is literally the mother of the prostitutes and abominations of the earth!

4. Babylon lives on through the practice of usury.
Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
– Ezekiel 18:13

Today historical Babylon exists only as ruins in Iraq or as museum exhibits. The Babylonian religion has long since been eradicated and its idols are in the scrap heaps of history, never to be worshiped again. Yet, usury is the one Babylonian abomination that did not die with the collapse of Babylon in 539 BC. I’m no historian, but I’m willing to wager that Babylonian practices of usury and deceptive economics was transmitted to other parts of the world through trade well before the collapse of Babylon. It is also not too far fetched to imagine that many of the Israelites who lived in Babylon corrupted themselves by adopting Babylonian practices, despite being warned by God to keep away from the abomination of usury.

The whore of the end times, called ‘Babylon’ would be an incarnation of ancient Babylon. She would serve as the carrier of Babylon’s ancient filth, under a different name and perhaps as the global capital of the future economic system. The whore will operate via her merchants described as the “great men” of the earth.

…for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. – Revelations 18:23

Its not kings or military leaders, but rather the whores merchants who are described as being the “great men” of the earth. One would have to be blind to fail to recognize them as the corrupt international bankers, who have weaponized economics and work behind the scenes as the real wielders of power in the world today.

God knows best!

Further reading :
The Bible identifies the whore of Babylon as Jerusalem.
Revelation : The whores “fornication” is usury.

(If I say something that is right, then God has inspired me. If I say something that is wrong, then it is my own mistake.)

The city of Jerusalem, mentioned hundreds of times throughout the Bible, could well be considered as the center stage of most of the Bible. Strangely however, when it comes to the Book of Revelation, the city of Jerusalem is not mentioned by name even a single time!

While the name “Jerusalem” appears thrice in the Book of Revelation, none of those are references to the earthly city of Jerusalem, that we know as the capital of modern Israel. Rather, they are all references to a heavenly city called the “new” Jerusalem. The earthly city of Jerusalem is unflatteringly alluded to via symbols and hints :
– as the place where Jesus was crucified.
– as symbolic “Egypt” and “Sodom”
– as Babylon, the city that had the blood of holy men. (Refer to Matthew 23:37)
– as the whore – representing a city – drunk with the blood of holy men.

(Refer to my other thread detailing how the whore of Babylon is Biblically identified as Jerusalem.)

By not mentioning the earthly city of Jerusalem by name, the author tip toes around the subject, while dropping plenty of hints for the unbiased reader to know exactly what city he was talking about. Thus, it can be inferred that the writer of Revelation either had a major axe to grind with Jerusalem OR he indeed had visions about Jerusalem the way it is portrayed in the Book of Revelation. Either way, it’s evident that in Revelation, the earthly city of Jerusalem is not aligned with the forces of good and is headed towards destruction.

The very idea of a “new” Jerusalem raises to mind the question on as to what becomes of the “Old” Jerusalem. The obvious answer is that the old Jerusalem is being replaced by the heavenly city. By putting the pieces together, we can gather that the old Jerusalem, is the destroyed city of Revelation 18, which in the previous chapter, was symbolized as the whore. The Bible shows us that the blood of holy men are on the hands of three entities- Jerusalem, the whore that symbolized a city and the city of Babylon. These three entities are one and the same, but referred to under different names.

Jerusalem’s crime of spilling the blood of holy men is something that needs to be emphasized as it holds the key to resolving a great portion of the mysteries found in the Book of Revelation. When Christians still choose to defend Jerusalem from the crimes of prophet killing – something that Jesus himself accused Jerusalem of – they do so to defend their own pro-Israel outlook on Jerusalem. It is because they have been led to believe that Israel is aligned to the forces of “good”, or that Israel will enjoy the special protection of Jesus when he returns. Unfortunately for Zionist Christians, they have a major surprise in store for them and it is better that we wait this one out and see the final outcome with our own eyes.

God knows best!

(If I say something that is right, then God has inspired me. If I say something that is wrong, then it is my own mistake.)

1. Introduction
One of the many symbols that appear in the book of Revelations is the mysterious “whore”. Using the Bible, she can be identified as the city of Jerusalem. I have expanded on this in another thead – The Bible identifies the whore of Babylon as Jerusalem. This point is backed up by several Biblical quotes.

Now, if you happen to believe that the whore is something else, that is your take on the matter and you are most entitled to it. But this thread however, is going to be based on the premise that the whore is Jerusalem. Having said that, I am not up to debate the very premise of the thread, so don’t waste your time trying to convince me that the whore isn’t Jerusalem.

2. The whore, nations, kings and merchants.
Students of eschatology know that besides other things, the whore-
a) Possesses great wealth and luxury, symbolized by the gold, pearls and precious stones that she is adorned with.
b) “Fornicates” with kings and somehow makes the merchants of the earth wealthy.
c) Gets the nations drunk with the ‘wine of her fornication’.

Now pay special attention to Revelations 18:3 –
For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. – Revelation 18:3

Revelation 18:3 is peculiar in its metaphorical use of ‘intoxication’ and ‘fornication’ to narrate the whores relation with kings, nations and oddly – merchants. Could this seemingly innocuous reference to merchants hold the answer to larger questions?

The metaphors and the characters in that verse all provide vital clues on this matter. It also raises the following questions :
– What exactly is meant by her fornication with the kings?
– What do merchants of the earth have to do with all of this and how exactly are they growing rich because of her? (Important)
– What is meant by the ‘wine of the wrath of her fornication’ and how did the nations drink it?

In order to be able to answer these questions, we need to know what the metaphorical‘fornication’ really stands for. If “whore” is symbolic of a city, then what is her “fornication” symbolic of? (Answers revealed later in this thread.)

3. The whores fornication = usury!
What if the whores “fornication” is symbolic of an evil that plagues our world today –usury!
(Plenty has been written about this subject by people who are far more well versed in economics than I am.)

Now interpreting prophecies requires a bit of imagination, in addition to connecting dots and asking the right questions. Sometimes it helps to ask what-if questions, so as to open doors to new possibilities. Here’s how I arrived at the answer. I had recently read a Hadith that taught that usury is a sin worse than adultery. This got me thinking and I wondered if the book of Revelations is also comparing usury to a sexual sin, as carried out by the whore. I then started looking into how the narrative of the whore would unfold if the whores ‘fornication’ was replaced with ‘usury’, and to my amazement it all started to fall in place like pieces of a jigsaw!

Here are the answers.
The “fornication” between the whore and the kings represents the abominable financial system based on usury. It is through this system that the whore and the merchants of the earth grow rich.
– The kings committing adultery with her are world leaders who are also players in the whores usury based financial system.
– The merchants are the businessmen and bankers, who grow rich from whores usury based financial system.
– The nations are drunk with the wine of her fornication because they have been made a part of the whores usury based financial system.
In this light, one can deduce that usury is part of the filth that fills the whores golden cup, an important symbol pertaining to the whore. It is another of her major sins, in addition to having the blood of the holy people.

That usury is an abomination is nothing new. Several verses in the Old Testament teach that usury is forbidden by God Almighty. In fact, usury, is explicitly declared as an abomination!

Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him. – Ezekiel 18:13

4. When kings and merchants weep over a whore.
And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning – Revelation 18:9

And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more. – Revelation 18:11

The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing. – Revelation 18:15

When the whore was destroyed, so was the abominable financial system the kings and merchants lived by.
The fact that mighty kings and merchants, mourn and weep over the whore is further proof that the whores “fornication” was a financial system that they were benefiting from. They mourn and weep for the whore because the financial system that brought them wealth and riches had collapsed.

Interestingly, more than the kings who fornicated with her, its the merchants who mourn and weep over the whore. In fact, verses 11-19, contains only the lamentations of merchants, mourning over the whore and their own material losses!

5. The “great men of the earth” – villains behind the scenes.
Just before the end of the chapter, we learn that the merchants were not just neutral characters caught up in the chaos.

…for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. – Revelations 18:23

There you have it. The merchants, described as the great men of the earth belonged to the whores system all along! They are in all likelihood, the architects of the same usury based financial system and one with the whore. This perfectly explains why they were the ones mourning the whore the most. The nations were all deceived when they were suckered in to the whores financial system. This connects back to Revelation 18:3, where the nations are said to be drunk with the wine of her fornication.

So, the mention of merchants did indeed provide the vital clue to help resolve the mystery of the whore and the meaning of her fornication.

6. The whore gets a taste of her own medicine.
Once you understand the whores fornication as symbolic of an usury based financial system, then one of her punishments starts to make sense.

Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. – Revelations 18:6

In other words, she is to be given a taste of her own medicine, a double dose from her own cup of abominations. With interest, if you will.

God knows best!
