(If I say something that is right, then God has inspired me. If I say something that is wrong, then it is my own mistake.)

The mark of the beast is one of the most discussed subjects in Christian eschatology.
The reason why its a very important issue is because the mark carries eternal consequences. Unfortunately, besides guesswork and speculation, nobody really knows what the “mark” actually is. The only clue that we have is that it has something to do with a number, six hundred and sixty six… which is described as the “number of a man”. There have been many theories attempting to solve the riddle of the “mark” and of these the Mark being a chip implant is the most popular one.

1. The “mark” as a chip-implant.
As of now, the chip implant theory is the most popular theory floating around.
I admit it has its merits, as the possibility of chip implant technology becoming part of a financial system is extremely real. So this theory directly addresses Revelations 13:17.
“no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark”

However, there are certain other problems, both logistical and ethical, with this theory.
A few of them are…

a) It would be impossible for one man or government to ‘chip’ every single human on the planet. Unless of course, the governments of every single country on the map agree to this system.

b) It does not factor in people unaware of Christian teachings on this matter. If the consequences of getting the beasts “chip” is dire, then it would be unfair for these people to be condemned to hell forever.

c) It would be unfair for young children who’s parents decide to have them ‘chipped’.

d) It would be unfair for mentally handicapped people if their caretakers decided to get them chipped.

e) We have uncontacted tribes living in remote rainforests with no electricity. They know nothing of eschatological matters and have no use for a hi-tech chip system. So the idea of them getting chipped and then facing punishment from God is unfair.

f) If the chip is deceptively introduced as part of a new financial program, it would be be unfair to condemn the families that may have opted for the chip only to meet financial requirements.

Basically, it would be unmerciful of God if He were to condemn somebody who takes the anti-christs chip without having enough knowledge of it or if he were unaware of the consequences.

So, what if the mark is something else?

2. Even the believers receive a “mark”
Its well known that the Bible teaches that the beast causes people to receive marks on their foreheads (or their right hands.)

And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:,

But one detail that is left out is that even the followers of God are sealed (marked) in the foreheads, as we see in these verses from Revelations.

“Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”
-Revelations 7:3

They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads
-Revelations 9:4.

So we see that people are treated in a certain way depending on the condition of the “forehead”. If a persons forehead did not have the seal of God, then it would have the mark of the anti-Christ and he would face punishment. If the believer has the seal of God, they would be saved. In the end, the condition of our foreheads decides our fate.

3. So, why the forehead in particular?
This Koranic verse may offer a clue

“Do you see who forbids a servant of Ours (God) when he (turns) to pray? Do you see if he who prays follows the guidance and enjoins righteousness? Do you see if he who obstructs rejects (Truth) and turns away? Does he not know that God sees? Let him beware! If he desists not, We (God) will punish him upon his forehead – a lying, sinful forehead!”
-Koran 96:9-16

“Punish him upon his forehead”?

The term “forehead” simply represents the frontal lobe regions of our brain. This part of the brain is used to reason and make conscious choices…. including the choice to believe in or reject God.

The executive functions of the frontal lobes involve the ability to recognize future consequences resulting from current actions, to choose between good and bad actions (or better and best), override and suppress socially unacceptable responses, and determine similarities and differences between things or events. wiki

The individual would be making a conscious choice on as to whose side he is going to stand on. We either get the seal of God or the mark of the anti-Christ depending on our choices in this regard. These would be symbolic “seals” or “marks” on the frontal lobe, that people would have brought upon themselves as a result of their choices. Those who consciously reject God will in turn be rejected by God and “punished on the forehead”… by being made a target for the anti-christ. He / She will then receive the anti-christs mark which would identify them as those who are to receive punishment from God.

4. The role of the anti-christ.
The anti-christ or the dajjal is the second beast from the earth as described in Revelations. He would act on behalf or represent the first beast, which is an empire or a regime in the end times and will be the one who would cause the unbelievers to be marked.

The popular teaching is that he would attempt to conquer the world and portray himself as God. But the truth is that God is always in control of the earth, and the anti-christ would only be allowed to rise in order to test the people of the earth. He would essentially serve as an instrument to separate the unbelievers from the believers… who he would cause to be marked.

I could be wrong, but perhaps this verse refers to that very thing.
And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs.
-Koran 27:82

God knows best.

Many Christians claim that the Koran describes Allah as a “deceiver” because of this one particular verse.

And they schemed against Jesus and God schemed against them, but God is the best schemer.

The way I see it, a bunch of nasty men schemed against Jesus, and Allah in defense of Jesus… schemed back against them and (obviously) won. Seems fair enough.

Now, Christians who still insist that Allahs scheming means he is a “deceiver”…. are faced with a big problem. The Bible itself describes God as someone who deceives when the need arises.

“So now the Lord has put a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours. The Lord has decreed disaster for you.”
-1 Kings 22:23

Ah, Lord God! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.
-Jeremiah 4:10

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
-2 Thessalonians 2:11

So just why would God “deceive” and send “delusions” to people?
Did they deserve it? So then are we in agreement that the people who Allah schemed against, or as you say “deceived”… deserved it? When the Bible itself describes God as being a deceiver…. on what basis can you really accuse the God who the muslims worship… as being a deceiver?

We can see right there in the Bible that God has deceived people. If Christians can justify that, then they really shouldn’t have an issue with the Koranic account.

It seems everything people know of about Jesus is from the Bible. People forget that Jesus is also a part of Islam and not much is known about Jesus in Islamic tradition. In this thread, I will be posting some stories and sayings of Jesus in Islamic tradition for Christians and Muslims to read and reflect.

There are more of his sayings on these sites, but I’m just posting a few here.

Iblis (Satan) came to Jesus then he said: ‘Do you not claim that you can revive the dead?’ Jesus said: ‘Yes.’ Iblis said: ‘Then throw yourself down from the top of the wall.’ Then Jesus said: ‘Woe unto you! Verily the servant does not try his Lord.’ And Iblis said: ‘O Jesus! Can your Lord put the earth in an egg while the egg remains in its form?’ Then he said: ‘Verily impotence is not attributed to Allah, the Supreme, but what you said cannot be.’

Jesus (‘a) said: “O assembly of disciples! I have thrown the world prostrate before you, so do not lift it up after me, for one of the evils of this world is that Allah was disobeyed in it, and one of the evils of this world is that the next world is not attained except by abandoning this one. So pass through this world without making it your home, and know that the root of all wrong is the love of this world. Many a vain desire leaves a legacy of lasting sorrow.”

“Blessed is he who abandons the present desire for the absent promise.”

“Woe to the companion of the world! How he dies and leaves it and how he relies on it and it deceives him, and how he trusts it and it forsakes him! Woe unto those who are deceived! How that which is repugnant encompasses them and that which is beloved separates from them! And that which is promised will come to them. And woe to those whose endeavors are only for the world and error. How he will be disgraced before Allah tomorrow!”

Jesus, Peace be upon him, is reported to have said: “How can one be of the people of knowledge if the next world is shown to him while he remains involved in this world, and what harms him is more desirable to him than what benefits him?”

“Teach us a deed for which Allah will love us.” He said: “Detest the world and Allah will love you.”

‘Jesus the son of Mary, may the blessings of Allah be upon him, said: ‘You work for the sake of this world while it is not by work that you are provided for in it. And you do not work for the sake of the next world, while it is only by work that you will be provided for in it. Woe be unto you, evil learned ones (‘ulama)! You take your wage and neglect works. Soon the worker’s work will he accepted, and soon you will be driving forth from the narrowness of this world toward the darkness of the grave. How can one be knowledgeable who is on the way to the next world and yet his face is turned towards this world, and he likes the things that harm him more than the things that benefit him?’

Jesus (‘a) said: “The love of this world and the next cannot come together in the heart of a believer, like water and fire in a single vessel.”

Jesus (‘a) said: “This world and the next one are rivals. When you please one of them you displease the other.”

“The Messiah, Peace be upon him, said to his Apostles: ‘Verily, this world is merely a bridge, so cross over it, and do not make it your abode.’ ”

“Do not take the world as a master, for it will make you its slave. Keep your treasure with one who will not squander it. The owners of the treasures of this world fear for its ruin, but he who owns the treasure of Allah does not fear for its ruin.”

And it was said to him Jesus “Who trained you?” He said: “No one trained me. I saw the ugliness of ignorance and I avoided it.

“Jesus the son of Mary (‘a) stood up among the Children of Israel and said: ‘O Children of Israel! Do not speak with the ignorant of wisdom, for otherwise you do injustice with it, and do not keep it from its folk, for otherwise you do injustice to them, and do not help the unjust with his injustice, for otherwise your virtue becomes void. Affairs are three: the affair whose righteousness is clear to you, so follow it: the affair whose error is clear to you, so avoid it’. and the affair about which there are differences, so return it to Allah, the Almighty and Glorious.”

Jesus (‘a) said to a worshipper, “What do you do?” He answered, “I worship.” He (‘a) said, “Then who provides for you?” He said, “My brother.” He (‘a) said, “Your brother is more of a worshipper than you are!

“Jesus the son of Mary (‘a) passed by a group of people who were crying. He asked why they were crying. It was said to him that they were crying for their sins. He said, they should pray about them and they will be forgiven.”

Jesus (‘a) said: “O group of Apostles! How many lamps the wind has put out, and how many worshippers pride has corrupted.!”

Jesus (a) said: “Never stare at that which is not for you. If you restrain your eyes you will never commit adultery; and if you are able to avoid looking at the garments of women who are not permitted for you, then do so.”

It is reported that he Jesus (‘a) passed by a carcass with his disciples. Then the disciples said: “How putrid the smell of this dog is!” Then Jesus (‘a) said: “How intense is the whiteness of his teeth!”

“Jesus the son of Mary (‘a) sent two of his companions on an errand. Then one of them returned thin and afflicted and the other fat and chubby. He said to the one who was thin: what did this to you, that I see you this way?’ He said: ‘The fear of Allah.’ And he said to the other who was fat: ‘What did this to you, that I see you this way?’ He said: ‘A good opinion of Allah.’ “

Jesus, Peace be upon him, used to say: ‘Regarding the terror which you do not know when you will encounter (i.e. death), what prevents you from preparing for it before it comes upon you suddenly?’

And he (Jesus (‘a)) said: “How long will you be advised without taking any advice? Certainly you have become a burden to the advisors.”

‘Verily, when Jesus the son of Mary ( ‘a) passed along the shore of a sea, he threw a piece of his bread into the water, Then some of the disciples said: ‘O Spirit of Allah and His Word! Why did you do this when that was your food.’ He said: “I did this in order that some animal among the animals of the sea may eat it, and the reward of Allah for this is great.’

Jesus the son of Mary (‘a) stood up among the Children of Israel to preach. He said. ‘O Children of Israel! Do not eat before you become hungry and when you become hungry eat but do not eat your fill, because when you eat your fill your necks become thick and your sides grow fat and you forget your Lord”

“Jesus the son of Mary (a) said: ”Blessed is he whose silence is contemplation (fikr). whose glance is an admonition, whose house suffices him and who cries over his mistakes and from whose hand and tongue the people are safe.’

Islam is often portrayed by Christian fundamentalists as a cultural / religious force that is inherently opposed to Judeo-Christian beliefs. The truth is, Islam has its roots in the religious traditions of the Bible and this is demonstrated through Islams acceptance of the Israelite prophets. Muslims acknowledge that the righteous Israelites worshiped the One they call God and so, make no issue over the ethnicity of the Israelites. Islam places religion above the racial or ethnic identity, in the sense being Israelite or Arab makes no real difference.

We know that Abraham is accepted as a father figure to both Israelites (from whom emerged Judaism and Christianity) and the Ishmaelites (from whom emerged Islam.) In this regard, Ishmael is a bit of a curious case. He is the first son of the patriarch Abraham, yet not much is recorded about Ishmael. Christian theologians are quick to dismiss Ishmael as an enemy of the Israelites. They bring up the verses about Ishmael being a wild donkey of a man in order to cast Ishmael in a negative light. They also exaggerate Ishmaels childhood teasing of Isaac into some sort of a ‘feud’ between the brothers. From this comes the canard that Arab-Jewish rivalry goes back to thousands of years

The Ishmaelites/Kedarites mentioned in the bible, sometimes in a negative light, only refer to the (paganized) descendants of Ishmael and NOT the muslims who they would become much later, after Mohammads arrival. Furthermore, there is nothing in the bible that shows that Ishmael and Isaac were enemies. On the contrary, the brothers reunited for Abrahams funeral.

Another method Christian fundamentalists use to discount Ishmael is to point out that Isaac was chosen over Ishmael, to produce the messiah. This is a non-issue because Muslims accept Jesus, an Israelite as the messiah. In fact, Islam teaches that the Israelites were favored by God.

And thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of sayings and make His favor complete to you and to the children of Yaqoub, as He made it complete before to your fathers, Ibrahim and Ishaq; surely your Lord is Knowing, Wise.
-Koran 12:6

O children of Israel! call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations.
-Koran 2:47

With that said, Isaac being chosen for something does not mean Ishmael was cursed, as taught by Christian fundamentalists attempting to belittle Ishmael. The truth is that Ishmael was a son of Abraham, covered under the promise to Abraham and was himself blessed to become a great nation. He was one of the few people to have been named directly by God and was saved from death by God in the desert. Furthermore, God was “with” Ishmael as he was growing up. Can such a man really be an enemy of the Israelite? Only in the minds of Christian fundamentalists bent on vilifying Ishmael.

Given how Ishmaels bloodlines ultimately led to the “great nation” that made way for the arrival of Mohammad, it can be said that Ishmael had a prophetic role to play as well. This is confirmed by Isaiah 42’s prediction of a certain servant of God operating in Kedar and the “wilderness”. Detailed thread here

The wilderness which Ishmael was sent to was meant for great things, as it went on to become the land of Islams origin. Its important to understand that the ‘wilderness’ was never isolated from biblical events, but in fact was very much part of the geographical region in which biblical events took place. The first example which comes to mind is Mount Sinai, which is located in Arabia,(as stated by Paul in Galatians 4:25). Its also known that the Israelites had a presence in what is today Arabia. (See this link)

So its not surprising that from Ishmaels bloodline, emerged a prophet who fulfilled biblical prophecy. Mohammad basically reshaped the middle east by ending Arabia’s culture of idolatry and polytheism… and in its place, establishing a religion that worships the God of Abraham, acknowledges the prophets and accepts the messiahship of Jesus.

People familiar with their bible would know that Enoch and Elijah are unique in that they never died a physical death on earth but rather were lifted up supernaturally.

…And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
-Genesis 5:24

The same is echoed even in the Koran, where Enoch is known as Idris.

He was a man of truth (and sincerity), (and) a prophet: And We raised him to a lofty station.
-Koran 19:56-57

We know that Elijah also was lifted up to heaven
“…and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.”

With Enoch and Elijah, the bible establishes the concept of a man being lifted up to heaven.

However, the Koran states that a third man, Jesus was also lifted up to heaven.

“That they said (in boast): ‘We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.’ But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (Jesus) Before his death; And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness Against them.”
-Koran 4:156-159

Basically, those who tried to kill Jesus were fooled into thinking they did so… but in reality, Jesus was lifted up, like Enoch and Elijah before he was captured/crucified.

The Islamic account of Jesus directly opposes the crucifixion story and has been a point of contention between Christians and Muslims. But what if the bible actually supports Islams claim that Jesus was indeed lifted up and was saved from crucifixion?

Lets have a look-
During Jesus temptation, Satan suggests that Jesus jump off the highest point of the temple and quotes a scripture…
“He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

Satan used scripture to basically reassure Jesus that he would be lifted up by angels so that even his feet wont touch a stone on the ground below. This establishes that Jesus was the subject of this particular psalm.

Jesus did not deny this scripture, but instead countered Satan by bringing up another scripture which said God should not be tested. With this we can deduce that Jesus knew that the scripture Satan was quoting referred to him.

The scripture that Satan quoted was Psalm 91.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

I know for a fact that if Psalm 91 ended with “him” being crucified or given to his enemies, Christians would be waving it all around as final and conclusive proof that this Psalm was a direct prophecy that Jesus would be crucifed. However, Psalm 91 ends in favor of the Islamic view that Jesus was lifted up and saved…

13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”

The underlined part talks about him calling on God.. and God answering him by rescuing and protecting him Now, we all know that Jesus did call on God for “the cup to pass from him” moments before his arrest. So considering Psalm 91 pertains to Jesus, we can conclude the following about Jesus-

-Jesus called on God
-God answered Jesus
-God rescued Jesus
-God protected Jesus
-God delivered Jesus
-no harm overtook Jesus
-no disaster came near Jesus
-God commanded his angels concerning Jesus to guard Jesus
-The angels lifted Jesus up in their hands
-Jesus never struck his foot against the stones below

This confirms Islams teaching that Jesus was lifted up to heaven… and the part about his feet not touching the stones below indicates he could not have been killed and buried.

All this of directly contradicts the account of Jesus crucifixion….And Psalm 91 shows us that Jesus was the third person after Enoch and Elijah to be “lifted up” to heaven.

A lot of discussions on conspiracy websites revolve around a certain global banking elite who enslave people to debt. These banking elites are often portrayed as the masterminds behind various conflicts and wars. According to some, they are alleged to have manipulated the course of modern history itself.

What a lot of people don’t know is that Islam is the only belief system that strictly forbids the practice of lending money on interest. Islam places an emphasis on ethical business practices. In fact, Islam teaches that one of the signs of the end is an increase in usury.

“And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land.
-Koran 26:183

Give full measure and weight in justice and reduce not the things that are due to the people, and do not commit mischief in the land, causing corruption.
-Koran 11:85

Those who charge usury are in the same position as those controlled by the devil’s influence. This is because they claim that usury is the same as commerce. However, God permits commerce, and prohibits usury. Thus, whoever heeds this commandment from his Lord, and refrains from usury, he may keep his past earnings, and his judgment rests with God. As for those who persist in usury, they incur Hell, wherein they abide forever
-Koran 2:275

God condemns usury, and blesses charities. God dislikes every disbeliever, guilty. Those who believe and do good works and establish worship and pay the poor-due, their reward is with their Lord and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. O you who believe, you shall observe God and refrain from all kinds of usury, if you are believers. If you do not, then expect a war from God and His messenger. But if you repent, you may keep your capitals, without inflicting injustice, or incurring injustice. If the debtor is unable to pay, wait for a better time. If you give up the loan as a charity, it would be better for you, if you only knew.
– Koran 2:276-280

O you who believe, you shall not take usury, compounded over and over. Observe God, that you may succeed.
– Koran 3:130

And for practicing usury, which was forbidden, and for consuming the people’s money illicitly. We have prepared for the disbelievers among them painful retribution.
-Koran 4:161

The usury that is practiced to increase some people’s wealth, does not gain anything at God. But if people give to charity, seeking God’s pleasure, these are the ones who receive their reward many fold.
– Koran 30:39

Islam directly warns the corrupt banking elite who defraud people and reduce the things of the people… who commit mischief and cause corruption. The banking elites who grow wealthy with their corrupt banking systems have NO excuse when they stand before God on the day of their judgement.

Islam teaches that if you didn’t plant, you cannot reap. and that a man is not entitled to anything other than what he has worked for. This way, Islam covers the ethics of economic practices.

I came across this excellent video which outlines Islams stance on corrupt banking systems, which I’d like to share.

(I know its a 2 hour long video, but I strongly suggest you watch at least the forst 15 minutes. Then skip over to the 38 minute mark where he talks about how Christian Europe at one point fought the practice of usury. In fact, the medieval church had completely banned the charging of interest usury.)

In the video, the speaker describes the worlds banking elites as pimps who live off the sweat of those they take from. He likens the banking elites evil practices to a form of oppression. (Feel free to disagree or object to this statement) and states the obvious…. that in an economy based on the practice of usury, the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer.
He also points out that even some so-called Islamic banks are corrupted because they have let usury into the system.

——————————————————————————————–

Yes, there are warnings against usury even in the Bible.
But unfortunately Christian societies are run by secular irreligious powers that allow that which is forbidden by God. Christians, feel free to disagree with me on this. Evil practices such as usury, deceit banned by religion are seen as normal by the godless societies. Despite all the noise made during the ‘occupy’ protests, the banking elite still have their way. The rest of the world remains blissfully distracted by celebrities, movies, music, sports, pop culture and of course, the boogey man who’s out to get everyone…. aka – Islam.

We are living in an age where Islam is constantly portrayed as a threat to the western civilized world…(yes, the same civilized world that allows the elites to steal from the masses and start wars for profit.)  Islam, with its dedication to God and its strict stance against usury is a threat… NOT to a world that seeks fairness and justice, but to the corrupt banking elite that work without the concept of fairness and justice.

Its a rather well known fact that Christian fundamentalists have made and continue to make utterly ridiculous claims about Islam being centered around the worship of some Arabian ‘moon god’.

Their claim that Allah is a moon god is based on drawing imaginary connections between Islamic symbols and pre-Islamic relics. These ridiculous ideas have always been propagated by  fraudsters and charlatans posing as experts on ancient history. These lies are then parroted by Christian internet archaeologists on forums and discussion boards everywhere.(Also, be sure to read the link to know where this moon god nonsense originated from)

The method fundamentalists use in their smear campaign against Islam is rather childlike. What they do is point out superficial similarities between the crescent moon seen on mosques/flags and the ones found on relics dug up in the middle east, and then conclude that both have their origins from the same source…therefore “Allah is a moon god”.

What these fundamentalists conveniently leave out is the fact that the crescent moon has been used as a symbols by various cultures outside of the middle east which had nothing to do with Islam. Perhaps they do this on purpose or are simply ignorant of the crescent moon symbol having been used outside of the middle east. Either way, I’ll give them the benefit of doubt.

Now lets have a look at some examples of the crescent moon used in cultures that were NOT Islamic.

I’ll start with these JEWISH examples of crescent moon usage.

Crescent and six pointed Star from the seal of the Jewish Community of Regensburg, Germany, Middle ages.

Crescent seen on Jewish tombstone in a cemetery in Austria.

Crescent + star seen on some some medallion, apparently Jewish in origin. (Notice 6 pointed stars)

The crescent moon also appeared on Roman and Byzantine currency….

And a few others…

Macedonian

Coin of Juba II of Numidia

So what now, is this evidence that they all had links to the moon god, with whom the crescent+star is associated with?

Furthermore, the Crescent moon and star appears on several European coats of arms and flags…

Flag of Louny (Czech republic)

Coat of arms of Louny (Czech republic)

Coat of Arms of Croatia

Coat of Arms of Portsmouth

Coat of Arms of Olmstead

Coat of Arms of Tarnowski family (Polish nobility)

Coat of Arms of Bosnia (old)

Coat of Arms belonging to some Irish family

Coat of Arms of Illyria (Albania)

Emblem of Kotromanic dynasty (Kosovo)

Are they all moon god worshippers? Or did they develop these crescent moon designs independently with no connection whatsoever to the so called moon god?

Next, we also see that the crescent+star was used on shields of ancient Greeks

Depicted on a vase (Museum of Berlin)

(Re-enactment)

Evidence that they worshipped the moon god?

….we also see it on some Roman art

Evidence that they worshipped the moon god?

Now lets move eastwards….

The crescent moon is a symbol associated with Shiva

Chandra the Hindu moon god

Crescent moon on Sikh ceremonial emblem

Some Chinese moon goddess

So, do all these crescents have something to do with the crescent of the Arabian moon god?

Apparently, all these fundamentalists seem to be incapable of comprehending the simple fact that different cultures can come up with and use the same symbol, especially when its based off the sun, moon and stars…. you know, those bright shiny things in the sky seen by every human who has ever lived on the planet.

The supposed “proofs” of the Arabian pre-Islamic moon god presented by Christian fundamentalists, are no different from the examples of the crescent moon and star shown in this thread. i.e somebody decided to make a symbol out of the moon. Just because various cultures symbolize the moon for whatever purpose, does not mean they are all connected. So there is no reason to connect Islam with cultures that have used the symbol of the crescent.

My only point is that the crescent moon on Islamic mosques and flags is nothing more than a logo, a symbol of identification, popularized through the centuries. This same crescent moon symbol has been used by several unrelated cultures outside of the middle east. If Christians see no connection between these crescents and the ones seen on the so called Arabian moon god, then there really is no good reason to connect Islam to the so called moon god, which is basically a fabrication of deceitful Christian fundamentalists.

No more ignorance.

(If I say something that is right, then God has inspired me. If I say something that is wrong, then it is my own mistake.)

The genealogy of Jesus in Luke 3 ends with Adam being called the “son of God”.

Christians understand that the term “son of God” in Adams case does not mean a “son” in the literal sense… but rather implies that Adam was a direct creation of God. The term “son of God” does not mean that Adam was in any way divine.

However, when the same term “son of God” is applied to Jesus, it is done so in a manner that suggests Jesus was divine. Jesus’ birth was special in the sense he did not have a human father, but rather, was created directly in the womb of Mary… where he grew for 9 months and was born covered in blood like any other ordinary human.

Jesus and Adam are both unique human beings being direct creations of God. Both are called “the son of God” in the bible. Yet, Jesus is considered to be divine… whereas Adam is not.

One of the most important verses to consider when discussing the nature of Jesus are the ones about the angel who Mary encountered. Jesus’ story begins with Mary, a human finding favor with God. When the angel spoke to her, he never said anything about her son being divine… let alone the son being part of a trinity or God himself as many Christians believe about Jesus. The angel did say he would be called “the son of God”, but obviously in the same way as Adam… i.e – Not divine.

The fact that Adam is also called “son of God” nullifies the claim about Jesus being Gods “only begotten son” in John 3:16. The term “son of God” simply means a special creation of God. And nothing more.

Humans are not divine… and divinity is not born of humans. If Jesus is God, then it means Mary is the mother of God. And if Adam is not divine though he was created by God, then Jesus cant be divine because he was born of a human.
